What motivates you?
I never quite found my groove with sports at school, despite trying lots of different things, but in my later years Mum took me to a pilates class and I was instantly hooked. I loved how it made me feel – long, strong, and capable in a way I hadn’t felt with any other exercise. I’m now well into my Sport and Exercise Science (Exercise Therapy) degree and still learning the ropes, but bringing that knowledge from my studies into class is such a thrill. What really motivates me is the shared energy, given and received, the little “ah-ha” moments, the smiles (and sometimes the struggle!), and by the end of a class everyone’s endorphins seem to rub off on me – I walk out buzzing every time.
Outside of The Studio...
I’m from an olive and cattle farm about seven hours west of Sydney, so I pop home from time to time to help out and say hi to my fam. I live with friends here in Sydney, so life outside the studio usually means beach trips, long walks, coffee spot hopping, friend dinners, hikes, concerts, and trying to sneak in a bit of study. I enjoy a bit of ‘me’ time, so I really treasure an hour or two in the morning to myself – long walks, coffee, soaking up the sun, or just sitting with a good podcast on.
