Kids & teens group exercise

Growfit is The Studio’s weekly class designed for growing bodies. 

Classes are suitable for kids and teens aged 8-14yrs with a strong focus on the ever-changing needs of the developing body. Expect a fun combination of exercises to improve core strength, coordination and balance whilst of course building general strength, resilience and confidence. Because Growfit is physio led, measures will be taken at the start and end of the term to establish baselines, monitor progress and manage and set appropriate goals – meaning your child will start to establish some basic understanding of how to move their body safely and effectively.

Classes run in line with the school term, participants must enrol for the entire term (an initial trial class can be booked).

Term 1 2026 dates: Wednesdays 28/01/2026 - 01/04/2026

Times: 4.15pm - 5pm

Cost: $35 per class in a term enrolment, $38 trial class available

Special school holiday classes are also offered – enquire at reception and keep an eye on our social channels for updates.

Reformer for teens - a weekly class the teens are all talking about.

As the name suggests, classes are suitable for teens, those on the cusp of teenhood also welcome. Us physio’s LOVE to see physical participation in exercise/sport from a young age - supporting body positivity and confidence, injury prevention during periods of rapid growth, community, connection and obviously mental and physical health gains. Pilates is all the rage so what better way to get the young ones moving than offering a specialised physio led, reformer class purely for the growing teenage body. No experience needed. All welcome!

All levels of ability are welcome

Inclusivity is our number one focus. Our team of physiotherapists are highly skilled in modifying for the individual in a group setting. This class is fantastic for highly active AND inactive kiddos and everyone in between. From encouraging physical participation to working on injury prevention for those prone to overuse or growing pains, there truly is benefit for both ends of the spectrum. 

Classes of course accommodate for participants of the NDIS (must be self-managed).

Like all Studio services, our offerings are designed and updated in accordance with the scientific research. 

These findings from a systematic review evaluating the effectiveness of pilates intervention on physical function in children speak for themselves.

Another study looked at the effectiveness of a 6-week core program in school aged children. The results demonstrated significantly improved truck muscular endurance, movement capability, flexibility and balance!

We have seen this in clinic and truly believe in the power of pilates in supporting all bodies.
