Looking to get back into exercise after injury or pregnancy? Keen to increase your physical activity after a period of inactivity but don’t know where to start?
Clinical exercise at The Studio is designed specifically to support your return to exercise – providing a safe, effective and personalised first step towards your fitness or recovery goals.
Session types
Private: 1:1, 55 mins. Ideal for beginners and those looking for maximum attention and movement correction. Privates are scheduled with your practitioner or through the front desk following your initial assessment, they cannot be booked online.
Duet: 2:1, 55 mins, These bookings are arranged privately with your partner, friend or child. If you have a plus one you would like to organise Duet sessions with this can be booked via the front desk, they cannot be booked online. Session times will be determined based on Studio and staff availability.
Semi-private: 4:1, 55 mins. During these classes your instructor will program exercises based on your specific needs. There are 3 Clinical Exercise spaces in The Studio filled with various pieces of rehab and Pilates equipment along with mats. Your instructor will guide you through your prescribed exercises with hands on and verbal cueing and modifications as required. There may be up to 3 other clients present in this class type, all performing individual programs. These classes are perfect for individuals looking to work on specific challenges or goals with the confidence to work independently at times while sharing the attention of the instructor.
Clinical pilates or clinical exercise is a form of physical exercise combining traditional rehab exercises with pilates inspired movements.
Clinical exercise classes at The Studio are run by qualified physiotherapists and are focused on the individual, with an emphasis on setting and achieving personal goals, managing niggles and getting the absolute most from every workout.
We allow a maximum of 4 participants in each clinical exercise session to allow each participant to receive 1-1 time with the physiotherapist and personalised modifications.
We offer clinical exercise and pilates to people of all ages. If you have a child or teenager you are looking to get started, get in touch and we can discuss what is best for them.
To provide the most effective program for exercise and rehabilitation clients must book an initial consultation prior to commencing clinical classes.
Following this assessment your physio will guide you through the best exercise pathway tailored for your goals. Depending on your history and experience with pilates equipment it is commonly recommended that you begin with 1-3 private sessions before joining a clinical class. If you would prefer to continue with private instruction this is also an option.

If you're a member of a private health fund, you may be eligible to claim a rebate for your clinical class. Enquire with reception.
