Group exercise
Group classes at The Studio offer a well-rounded, seriously effective and fun workout.
Our classes are a progression from our clinical program and are heavily influenced by our physiotherapy practice, ensuring a focus on form, safety and results. ALL bods welcome. Our combination of Physio instructors and experienced Pilates and fitness pro's ensure a satisfying and creative workout - no two classes the same!

Group exercise classes
Reformer pilates
Reformer classes provide a full body workout which is low impact and kind to the joints. Providing a moving surface and spring based resistance, the reformer challenges the core and builds strength and stability. The versatility of the reformer provides a class for all levels, from beginners to pilates pro's.

Prenatal pilates
Prenatal mat and reformer pilates classes suitable for any stage of pregnancy. Instructed by qualified physiotherapists specialising in women's health and instructors with additional training in prenatal exercise, these classes are designed purely for the ever changing prenatal bod and will keep you body feeling strong and stable throughout pregnancy.

Mat pilates
A mat class using bodyweight and small toys (balls, bands, weights). Expect strong emphasis on controlled movement building flexibility, strength, improved posture and body awareness. The team will shower you with detailed instructions to ensure you follow along and finish class feeling longer and stronger. A great class for all levels, particularly those new to pilates.

Mums n Bubs pilates
Mums n Bubs mat and reformer classes are low impact (high cuteness) and led exclusively by our physio team with additional training in the prescription of postpartum exercise. A post-natal assessment with a physio must be completed before joining. Bouncers and baby mats are provided and there is plenty of space to roll in a pram.
Classes suitable for pre-crawlers. Once on the move the creche is ready for you (or of course earlier if you prefer).

Reformer Sweat
A reformer pilates workout with a bonus cardio hit. Enjoy the strength and length benefits of traditional reformer exercises combined with cardio intervals to get your heart rate pumping. Come to class prepared to work hard, break a sweat and challenge yourself with a dynamic, high intensity sesh.

Brolates
This class is just for the bro’s. Exercises are tailored towards the male physique with a focus on mobilising the hips, shoulders and back and strengthening the arms, abs and glutes. No experience needed, tight hamstrings welcome (and expected). Let's go gents.

Boxilates
Boxilates is a dynamic fusion of mat pilates and boxing cardio. Expect a FUN workout combining the functional benefits of pilates with the high intensity cardio and co-ordination of boxing. NO boxing experience needed! Bring along a can do attitude, get lost in the music and before you know it, workout done and dusted.

HIIT/Circuit
A strength and conditioning circuit ideal for clients wanting to train in a small group environment. No two classes are the same, expect a mix of exercises utilising free weights, bands, TRX suspension trainers and balance tools. Cardio fitness is challenged working to timed efforts and strength is built with progressive challenges on offer. All levels welcome.

Power pilates
Mat pilates but powerful! A challenging full body work out with progressions of all your favourite pilates exercises. The perfect class for those feeling strong and looking to progress their practice. As always levels are provided throughout class to ensure all are catered to; starting out? No worries come along, ready to push? Let's go!

Barre
A dynamic fusion of pilates, ballet and cardio fitness. The perfect transition from the mat to a high energy mostly upright workout. Absolutely no dance experience required and motivating vibes guaranteed! We all need a little cardio in our lives to keep those hearts and minds healthy and this is the perfect sweat sesh where the burn builds while time flies on by.

Studio Fit
Think old school aerobics meets barre meets pilates (sweat bands optional)! The perfect class for those looking to get their sweat on while moving to banging beats. Expect some toys thrown into the mix - ankle weights, dumbbells, bands and steps, ensuring no two classes are the same with new challenges keeping those muscles guessing. All levels welcome.

Over 50's Strength
A strength class designed for the over 50's population with a mix of circuit style functional exercises to promote bone health, muscle growth, maintenance and tone, balance and confidence. Physiotherapy led, individual needs happily considered and catered to. All welcome to this enjoyable, non-intimidating and social class.

Studio STRONG
Lifting weights is essential for bone health and longevity - enter Studio STRONG, a strength class utilising free weights, barbells, bands and steps – with levels for all abilities. The perfect marriage of stability, flexibility core AND total body strengthening. No weight training experience needed, our team will provide careful, clear instruction to ensure safety and satisfaction for all.

Stretch, Roll & Release
The grease and oil your body realllly needs. Expect to move through dynamic and static stretches with guidance, roll and release areas of tension with the foam roller and massage balls, breathe and be still. You do not need to be flexible to attend! A suitable class for all. You WILL thank us after.

We offer prenatal mat and reformer classes most days that are tailored to our pregnant clients.
If you are feeling up to it, most of our group exercise classes are also pregnancy friendly and can be tailored to meet your needs. Our instructors will look out for you, so please let them know you are pregnant and any additional restrictions you may have. The only exception to this is Reformer sweat – this class is NOT suitable during pregnancy.
If you are unsure if group classes are appropriate in your circumstance, don’t hesitate to give us a call or email and we can help direct you to the right exercise option for you.
If you are less than 6 months post-natal you are required to book a post-natal assessment with one of our women's health physiotherapists prior to joining our group classes. Your physio will be able to create a personalised plan identifying the appropriate classes and exercise modifications for you. This is to ensure your safety and wellbeing in returning to exercise. Note, it is never too late to book a postpartum assessment!
Please note if you need to change or cancel a class this must be done within our early cancellation window – 12 hours prior to class. Classes must be cancelled via The Studio app or website, we do not accept cancellations via email or phone.
If you 'late cancel' or 'no show' you will be charged as normal for your class (a class deducted from your pack) or if on a membership you will be charged a $20 fee.
