Storytime incoming…

Allllmost 10 years this lil ol’ biz has been taking up residence on Darling Street and what an evolution we’ve seen over this time. Back in 2016 when The Studio was born the idea of a ‘boutique’ physio clinic was quite a new concept and certainly the combination of group exercise AND physiotherapy under the one roof was something not frequently seen. The idea for The Studio came from a drive to really see people through their rehab/recovery journey, beyond simply symptom resolution, providing the opportunity to follow through, returning to or discovering pain free, progressive and enjoyable exercise…rather than the traditional approach - from physio bed to field. Why couldn’t we do all this under the one roof? And so The Studio. Physio & Pilates was built…

I knew I didn’t want to build a ‘clinic’ that resembled those which we all knew so well…carpet, walls of sporting jerseys and plaques and a sterile and sometimes masculine/coldish feel. Surely we could keep things clinically up to scratch while softening the interior and create a truly inclusive space for ALL people - not just sportsmen…I kept thinking, why can’t we build a space where pain/rehab can be addressed in an appealing environment? Time is so precious and it should be spent in places we are drawn to and feel good within and on leaving. Enter The Studio vibe; playful branding and colours, soft finishes (felt and warm timbers throughout), brightness, natural light, high ceilings, beautiful equipment and spaciousness - no teeny cubicles or screens in sight.

Over the years with listening ears and watchful eyes our service offering has morphed, moulded and grown and as a result I liken the growth of our brand to that of a patchwork quilt, often figuring things out on the fly as needs arose, adding, adjusting and perfecting. Some might assume an approaching 10 year milestone would bring feelings of fatigue however I’ve found this a time of reflection and growing inspiration…I’ve taken time in the last year or so to step back and look in and observe how much things have developed, how some bits look a little tired (that Sydney sunshine making itself known on some of our exterior signage!) and have felt a real surge to move forward with a ‘tidy up’ and refresh and somewhat of a rebirth!

And so we welcome the new era of The Studio!...Same us, refreshed vibe. After figuring things out essentially myself (very much a physio NOT a graphic or web designer) it was time to bring in the professionals. I’ve had the pleasure of working with the BEST team of creatives for the last few months. I’ve shared our mission, the origins of our brand and how we’ve developed. We’ve dived deep (with the help of some of our wonderful community - thank you!) to understand how our business is perceived and experienced and how best to communicate our offering near and wide - not always an easy feat with so many services going on under the one roof. I wanted to preserve the essence of our brand whilst bringing it forward into 2026 with appeal and an even more inclusive feel. Hello new logo, new imagery and signage, refreshed and broadened colour pallet, fancy new website and uniforms. 

What we have at The Studio is truly special and unique. Our team are absolutely elite, the supremest of professionals and most caring individuals and teammates. I want our brand and messaging to champion these legends and spread our message and mission near and far so we no longer hear ‘I wish I knew about you guys sooner.’

This project has been for us but also for you. We value our community so very much and are motivated to continue to provide a space of appeal, comfort and a source of inspiration to help you be the best version of yourself, both physically and mentally. Thank you for your support and thank you (in advance) for tolerating the next fortnight when we take down the ‘old’ and welcome the new! (Don’t worry services continue as normal, our signage pro’s will work around us). It’s a big year ahead and this is just the beginning of our refresh as we wrap and celebrate our first decade and look to the next (whilst also welcoming a new little human into the mix in a few months time…just to keep things truly ‘Studio’ esque).
