Clinical Exercise

Bachelor Applied Science (Physiotherapy) '11

Clinical Pilates Equipment Certification, Pilates Institute of Qld '12

Graduating from her Applied Sciences/Physiotherapy Degree at Sydney University in 2011 Petra dived straight into private practice, spending her weekends field side managing acute sporting injuries or on the Athletics track assisting athletes. It was through such varied experiences that Petra’s love of the assessment and treatment of sporting injuries began.
With the desire to improve the long term management of her patients she pursued Clinical Pilates training (through the Pilates Institute of Qld) as the perfect solution and addition to her bag of tricks. Since then Petra has continued to develop her Pilates teaching through self practice, additional courses along with introductory training into Women's Health and pre/post natal care.

Petra has a special interest in the management of the weekend warrior; those non professional athletes who achieve greatness every Saturday on the footy field, around the bay or in the ocean.
As Director of The Studio Petra has a passion for sharing her knowledge and clinical experience with her team. Petra spends the majority of her time educating her staff, ensuring The Studio team are up to date on the latest evidence based Physiotherapy practices and exercise guidelines.

In her time off Petra loves to keep active; walking the streets of the Inner West with her main man Jimmy and their beloved moodle Wilbur and loves daily Pilates and barre classes. Petra recently became a mum to a beautiful baby girl - Billie. She is loving sharing in the pre and post natal journey with The Studio community. When kicking back Petra loves nothing more than a glass of bubbles and cheeseboard with friends/family and dreams of visiting Tuscany again one day soon.

Petra's go to rehab/pilates exercise is everybody's favourite...the PLANK!
