Women's Health, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist & Clinical Pilates
Sarah graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. Following this, she travelled to Singapore where she spent her early years as a Physio in the hospital working with different conditions including orthopaedic, respiratory and neurology cases.
While working Sarah quickly figured out she wanted to explore Women’s Health so headed off to Australia to undertake training in this field. It was love at first sight! Since then, Sarah has travelled to Australia on 2 other occasions for Women’s Health training and worked predominantly in this field both in hospital and private practice settings. Sarah recently made the move to Sydney to see what the fuss was about and to immerse herself in the Women's Health field, an area that Australia is leading the way in Internationally when it comes to education, access and services offered. Sarah recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Physiotherapy - Pelvic Floor function and dysfunction at Melbourne University. This continued education in Sarah's area of interest will further enhance The Studio's expert care for the women of our Studio community.
Having always been fascinated by Pilates, Sarah decided to explore this avenue with Mat and Reformer training. Sarah finds Pilates an excellent adjunct to rehab, particularly for pre and post-natal clients as well as those recovering from injury.
Sarah has a keen interest in human movement patterns and is passionate about getting people up and moving in all 3 dimensions! She has found that a lot of neck or back pain can be resolved through a combination of manual therapy, advice and a variety of movement exercises.
Being an avid runner, Sarah understands the importance of marrying flexibility with strength and loves to work with individuals either returning to or building a love for the sport.
Feet in straps - nothing feels better after a long day of work!
