Since graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Podiatry, Erin has successfully built a number of sports podiatry (Sydney East Podiatry + The Podiatrist) and sports medical clinics (Sydney East Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics + Sydney Orthopaedics).
Erin as a practitioner has built a reputation as a highly regarded podiatric and sports medicine practitioner in Sydney.
Erin manages all cases of lower limb, foot and ankle injury, from the elite athlete to the social competitor. Erin also has a keen interest in running and helps implement running programs for all level of runners.
As part of the comprehensive biomechanical lower limb and gait assessment, Erin uses video/gait analysis to aid in more accurate measures of foot, ankle and lower limb structural dysfunction. With this in mind, pre-injury screening programs can be obtained and those with current pathology are given tailored management plans including strengthening and prescription of custom-made flexible orthotics.
Having represented her home state of Victoria for many years as a junior basketball player Erin progressed to the WNBL and represented Australia at the Under 21 level. Erin recently retired from playing professionally for the Sydney Uni Flames in the WNBL upon starting a family. Erin has two young children and 5 months after having her second child represented the GWS Giants in the VFLW. She has a special interest in runners and team sport athletes and specialises in injuries that are typically seen in these sports including heel pain, shin splints, forefoot pain, Achilles tendinopathy and growth plate injury seen in children and adolescents.
